Senate Candidate Eric Hovde to Visit UW-Madison on October 29th
The Republican nominee will discuss "energy and economics"
Republican Senate nominee Eric Hovde is visiting the University of Wisconsin-Madison on October 29th.
Hovde, who graduated from UW-Madison with degrees in economics and international relations, is challenging incumbent Senator Tammy Baldwin, a UW Law School alumna.
He is being brought to campus with the help of American Conservation Coalition Action, an “organization dedicated to bridging the gap between conservative values and effective environmental action.”
Hovde will speak about “energy and economics” at the event, which is open to all UW-Madison students, staff, and faculty. It will be held in the Plenary Room of Grainger Hall, starting at 7:00 PM. An RSVP link was provided to The Madison Federalist.
The College Republicans of UW-Madison said, “We are extremely excited that Eric Hovde is coming to campus. He is a fantastic candidate and will do great things for Wisconsin.”
“Voters are looking for change. Tammy Baldwin has been in Washington D.C. for more than two decades, but has nothing to show for it.”
Hovde has been endorsed by former President Donald Trump, Senator Ron Johnson, former Governor Scott Walker, and many other notable Republicans. The race recently shifted from “Lean Democrat” to “Tossup,” according to the Cook Political Report.
